O'Connell Lab research, ecology, evolution, behavior, poison frog

The O'Connell Lab strives to understand how genetics and environmental factors contribute to biological diversity and adaptation within ecologically important traits. Our main model system are poison frogs that have within and between species variation in behavior, toxicity, color morphology.

At Harvard, we have a large frog colony that we work with year-round. In Ecuador, we work with the Little Devil frog (Oophaga sylvatica) in collaboration with Centro Jambatu.
